The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has given the green light this morning for accession to the collaboration agreement between the secretary general of prisons and the municipalities of the Region of Murcia for regulating the serving of sentences of work for the benefit community in the area of the municipality.
Adherence to this agreement has been agreed to offer the town of Murcia areas of parks and gardens, cultural centers, museums, archives and social services to do the work for the benefit of the community.
The cooperation agreement aims to establish the form of collaboration between the secretariat general of correctional institutions and municipalities to adhere to the effective enforcement of penalties for work on behalf of the community, within the territory of each municipality.
Municipalities to adhere to this convention undertake to facilitate the work of prisoners residing in the township itself.
The Ministry of Interior assumes the obligations to cover contingencies under the National Institute of Social Security for work accidents and occupational diseases of the prisoners, for the days of effective delivery of work developed for the benefit of the community.
The Punishment management services and alternative measures will interview the prisoner to know their personal characteristics, their ability to work and social environment, staff and family to determine the most appropriate business.
