The City has invested 1.9 million euros in improving schools in the City of Murcia (28/05/2010)

Murcia City Council has invested in recent years 1.9 million euros in improving schools in Sucina Avileses and Los Martínez del Puerto.

The Councillor for Education and Youth, María Dolores Sánchez, has begun a round of visits for the condition and needs of schools in the municipality.

María Dolores Sánchez pointed out that "investment in these centers is on average € 44,000 per student, with the aim that students have quality schools and education."

The CEIP Arteaga, Sucina, has 253 students.

The center has invested 1.4 million euros from 2008.

In particular, there have been internal and external repairs, graffiti removal and alterations to several classrooms.

Avileses CEIP has 111 students.

In recent years we have invested 200,000 euros in building a new sports court and there have been internal and external repairs.

The CEIP Virgen de las Maravillas de Los Martínez del Puerto has 70 students.

The investment is 300,000 euros.

Among other things, has completed a project for the expansion of 3 classrooms of children, with offices and toilets.

The hotel is fully completed and opened its doors in September.
