The Board of the University of Murcia today called on the authorities to "rigorously examine compliance with all legal requirements prior to approval of teaching at private universities."
The agreement adds that this control should be especially followed in regard to manpower and equipment, as the number of doctors needed to provide the qualifications, the quality requirements, dedication and work schedules, and general infrastructure practice enough. "
The Council claimed that the funding of diplomas issued by private colleges "are carried out solely with private funds, not intended for public resources for this purpose."
Likewise, demand to ensure the "priority of the students at the University of Murcia in the use of public infrastructure and services necessary to complete their studies, especially with regard to their practical training."
"In this sense," added the agreement, the Social Council requests to be made available to students of this university health facilities to ensure current levels of quality, without being able to endanger the access to them by the firm agreements between the Health Service of Murcia and other academic institutions. "
Finally, the government reiterates "the increased budgetary support for the University of Murcia and in particular the teachings of the health sector, in a way that the principle of equality on its financing, compared with other public universities Spanish, is fully ensured in order to achieve excellence. "
During the plenary session of the Council held in Convalescence, approved the creation of the joint venture "Accesium Technology, Ltd." and several cooperation agreements.
Similarly, the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, in his report, referred to the announced cuts in budgets, which, as reported by the Autonomous Community, will rise to 1.1 million euros.
