The PSOE Councillor Sebastian Peñaranda denounces the lack of transparency and the lack of importance that the municipal PP gives the local economy and jobs by not convening a single time this body of public participation since its inception in May 2004
The PSOE mayor of Sebastian Peñaranda ask the full City Council approve Murcia immediately call Murcia Social Council to discuss the economic situation of the municipality and the social and issue a report with proposals and point of view of an advisory nature to be considered by the municipal government and the other political groups.
In this sense, Peñaranda participatory claim that this body has not met even once since its inception in May 2004, "a reality that shows the lack of transparency of the PP and the low priority given to the local economy and employment ".
"The city government remains kidnapped a tool for citizen participation and economic debate in the situation where we are," insists the Socialist councilor, who also requested the PP to fully incorporate the Social Council of Murcia with representatives of social economy organizations the municipality as well as representatives of political groups that form the corporation.
"The economic situation we are facing deserves urgent meeting of all corporate actors, social work and to discuss local measures necessary to assist the economic recovery", he concludes.
