The religious work of Ramón Gaya Museum is shown in Salzillo (13/05/2010)

Thirty paintings of Murcia Ramón Gaya up the exhibition, titled 'The Silence of the art' opens this evening at 20 hours in the museum housed.

The exhibition includes a number of religious works belonging to private collections and others that are on permanent display in the museum that bears the name of the artist, and now leave their campus to mark the centenary of the birth of the painter.

Gaya said in an interview in 1996 to Vicente Molina Foix, 'if I have a few years of life would like to address the topic box, the most difficult thing: the Penitent Magdalene, Noli me tangere ... only the topics that interest me have been treated by others before, and so, when painting, I also make my tribute to the past ... 'In this exhibition you can see that the box issue has been present in the artist's creative work Murcia.

Among these works are 'Noli me tangere', 'Baptism of Christ', 'Emmaus', 'Magdalena' ... but also various tributes, which evokes Gaya famous paintings by artists such as Titian, Murillo and Rubens painted since the 50 to 2002.

Some of the works, which reflect the admiration he felt for Ramón Gaya sculptor Francisco Salzillo, reflected the uniqueness and beauty of the sculptures parade through the streets of Murcia in the procession of Good Friday morning.

This road show has been exhibited in Caravaca de la Cruz and the Cathedral of Burgos, is now installed in the Museum Salzillo until Sept. 15 to be your next stop Valencia.
