The City delivered the Gold Medal of the City to the Royal and Most Illustrious Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre (02/05/2010)

The Plenary Hall of the City of Murcia has welcomed this afternoon's delivery of the Gold Medal of the City of Murcia at the Royal and Most Illustrious Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre, a distinction that is the most famous and highly awarded by the City Council on behalf citywide.

The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, has awarded the distinction to chairman of the Supreme council of guilds, Antonio Ayuso, in a move that has benefited from the presence of members of the Municipal Corporation and representatives of the various guilds and groups festive the municipality.

The Royal and Most Illustrious Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre has its roots in 1570 when it was founded in the church of the Hospital de Santa Maria de Gracia.
