San Antonio Catholic University held during Christmas a few visits to the families of their students.

How did this idea?
San Antonio Catholic University has always understood that the families of our students are a critical area for support and guidance of youth, in this sense, organize meetings with parents and open houses in different degrees to which parents and families know the University and the educational work we do in it.
In addition, we keep them informed of the activities that can be of interest to families.
Obviously no lack of Christmas cards sent to their homes.
However, it was time that I personally had the anxiety of visiting students in their own families, so I talked to D.
José Luis Mendoza, who supported the idea, because everything relating to families is important for both the institution and the President of the University.
What goals?
It is about the University and meet the family's concerns about the University's family.
Try to explain what progress on the university and hear their concerns.
In families who wish can also visit the sick or elderly or read a passage from the Gospel.
What is the process for boarding?
As the first year, and this being a pilot, we announced just a few classes, interested students apply for the visit and the family took from the day and time.
For now we have 11 families to visit.
Is there experience elsewhere?
I know of.
It's something new.
What we want to do this is to humanize the university, customize and create bonds of fellowship with the University Community, which also play an important role families of students.
What is the first family to be visited?
Be a family with four children studying in Ucam.
Parents are called Ricardo and Silvia and their children are studying nursing, Physical Activity and Sports Education.
On this visit, along with their children, talk about the progress of the University and they listen.
Then proceed to the blessing of the crib that has at home, we will read a gospel and end with prayer.
Also we will give the family a memento of our visit.
Does the layout of the visit is always the same?
No, depends on the family visit.
We always offer you the opportunity to talk about college and we're in, a gift, then, if you want, we end up with a family prayer.
