The director general of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, Pablo Fernández, introduced Monday, October 19 in Murcia (at 16:00 pm in the CEMACAM Torre Guil), the seminar-workshop on 'Management and operation of private forests Germany and Spain, especially in areas of the Natura 2000 ', which will run until Oct. 21.
This conference is aimed at foresters and private forest owners and involve the participation of expert speakers for the management and conservation of forests and the nature of Germany and Spain.
The meeting will address issues such as private forest management, forestry and logging, planning and management of forests, energy use of biomass, recovery and reforestation, among others.
As part of this conference is scheduled to visit the mountains of Moratalla and Burete, where they will show intervened and unlogged forests, and will study and discuss the goals for forest management, silvicultural alternatives, integration of the uses and protection and management of risks by fire, climate change and pests.
