The sector comprises more than 1,300 companies and their fleet more than 11,500 heavy vehicles |

The presence of FROET in the Integrated Transport Centre of Murcia to consolidate "the area's most important economic activity not only in the region, but a significant part of the Mediterranean Basin" that includes the Industrial Park West, the center built transport and new developments.

This was stressed today by the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, at the opening of new headquarters and training center and FROET services.

The event, which was chaired by the regional chief executive, Ramon Luis Valcarcel, has benefited from the presence of Councillor for Housing, Transportation and Housing, Antonio Castillo, and representatives of business and, especially, transportation.

Chamber was pleased to witness an event that "consolidation is a project that began in 1995 and is the result of collaboration and coordination of efforts of the Government of the Region, the City of Murcia and transport companies."

Thus, "we are consolidating a core of very important economic activity in a time of crisis, getting ahead and to strengthen the productive power and promote the consolidation of employment and activity of an important sector such as transport."

The new building occupies a plot of 4,000 square meters donated by Citmusa and construction has invested 3.2 million euros.

The transport sector, which represents nearly 5% of regional GDP, comprises more than 1,300 companies, whose fleet exceeds the 11,500 heavy vehicles and has more than 40,000 transport permits, making the region one of the communities regions with the highest potential and transport capacity.
