A sculpture of "Tribute to Nursing" presides today access to the Hospital Reina Sofía (12/05/2009)

The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, thanked on behalf of the City College of Nursing at the donation of a sculpture by Miguel Llamas, today presides over the entrances to the Hospital Reina Sofia and is now part of city heritage .

To commemorate this event, Miguel Llamas has created a bronze memorial sculpture that will serve to be the image of the centennial.

Llamas, author of the Segura River Sardina

"The Tribute to Nursing" is the first work of Miguel Llamas can be seen in the city.

He is also author of the sardine is bronze in the Segura River in honor of the Feast of the Burial of the Sardine.

Llamas was born in Velez Rubio and studied art history.

Some of his greatest works are scattered throughout Murcia, Alicante and Almeria.

He recently made a joint exhibition with painters Pedro Cano, Antonio Martínez Mengual and Antonio Díaz Bautista in Faculty of Law Faculty of the University of Murcia.

In his native land has also organized and participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, is the author of the monument in homage to the centuries-old juniper Chirivel located in the Botanical Garden of Mary.
