In starting the new Plan for Self in nursery schools (26/01/2009)

With the aim of providing protection and security tool for students, workers and visitors of the seven primary schools in the municipality, the council of education, and people, through the Health and Safety Service has undertaken the renovation of Emergency Action Plans of the municipal nursery school.

The new regulations, currently in force (Royal Decree 393/2007 Basic Self-Protection in Buildings) - requires that certain centers, among which are the municipal nursery school, to have a document called the Self-Protection Plan.

This document is mandatory, is a tool for self-protection and security for workers, as well as students and visitors to the municipal nursery school.

Implementation Plan, included in the Preventive Action Plan for 2008-2009 Municipal Prevention Service, attached to the Department of Education and Personal, includes several phases:

PREPARATION OF SELF-PROTECTION PLAN

Visits were made to each nursery school, to gather the necessary information and detect possible deficiencies in order to update the previous Risk Assessment.

These visits confirmed the current situation in infant schools, being able to appreciate that all staff have training in self-protection, rescue and first aid have been made evacuation drills in all nursery schools, all EE.II .

have the appropriate fire fighting equipment with maintenance contracts in force, gas installations, heating, etc, have the proper maintenance, etc.

Drafting of Self-Protection Plan for each of the seven municipal nursery school, with the corresponding date mapping, this phase ended in mid December 2008.

B - IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PLAN OF SELF

Conducting an evacuation drill at each site with the presence of Fire staff.

Which took place this morning at the Infant School "The Hermitage" La Alberca successfully completed and has met the minimum times.

Aim of the simulations:

1 That the staff of each school are familiar with escape routes from dependency.

2 nd That the staff of each agency receives tips and guidance staff and the Service Six Municipal Prevention.

3 º To highlight deficiencies in the document Self-Protection Plan, to undertake improvement and upgrading.

4 That the premises users, know to make an effective drainage system.

Simulation methodology:

1 ° Following the schedule, at the place and time indicated, will present a member of the Municipal Prevention Service, one (or more) Prevention Delegates and staff of six.

2 º Prior to that, since the service was sent Prevention Self-Protection Plan dependence with instructions on how to implement and manage.

3 º This group of people, together with officials of the Unit, will cover the escape routes giving instructions, tips, etc.

4 º After this tour and view incidents, is necessary to carry out the evacuation drill, noting the time taken, incidents and completing the party filing the member of Municipal Prevention Service, it being done the drill.
