Since 2005 it undertook the renovation of the building of "El Valle", owned by the Institute for Youth, as hosting international youth non-compliance are constant.

The restoration works began in 2006 with a budget of 1.2 million euros, works that were supposed to have been finalized by the middle of that year.

It was later announced by the council, which would further delay the shelter could not open "until late 2007, and the budget had risen to 2.72 million euros, of which the Autonomous bring 1.5.

"The reality, however, was spent only in 2007 140.000 euros, and came again to delay its opening until the end of last year 2008," said Valentina Gonzalez, who recalled that in August 2008 announced that INJUVE The Shelter Valley would join the Spanish Network of Youth Hostels (RESET) "before the end of the year" and would have a capacity of 50 seats.
