The Murcia Cecilio Pineda won the Novel Prize XIII 'Vargas Llosa' with his work 'The last Candray'.
This award is endowed with 12,000 euros and involves the publication of the book in the collection of narrative directed by Professor Pozuelo Yvancos for the Three Frontiers imprint.
The jury's decision was announced today at an event which was attended by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, the regional president of Caja Mediterráneo, Angel Martinez, the president of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho , and the jury president of Vargas Llosa and professor at the University of Murcia, Victorino Polo.
