The City Council welcomes finally unlocks the construction of the Police of El Carmen pending for over two years (06/11/2008)

Nuria Fuentes also want to be tackled and the procurement of works in the Civil Guard barracks in Sangonera La Verde and Torreagüera

The City Council and Traffic Safety, Nuria Fuentes, finally held out to tender the police station in El Carmen, whose construction had blocked more than two years by the National Government.

Sources pointed out that in autumn 2006, the PSOE leaders, including Councilman Alfonso Navarro now announced that the Ministry had approved the construction of the Carmen Police Station in the Post Office building of the railway station.

"Today we report that comes out to tender.

I hope this time we do not have to wait another two years without news of the work, "he stated.

The City Council has always maintained the stance of urging the National Government to fulfill these commitments to Murcia longer has only two national police stations, one of which built the City (San Andreas) with municipal budgets .

The need to provide greater security for Murcia has led the government team's Party at City Hall to demand repeatedly to the National Government the need for more police infrastructure and the allocations that solve the shortcomings.

Some requirements have always been backed and supported by the neighbors.

Since 2004, the National Government has been delayed again and again the construction of this work or changing their location, or conducting an alleged announcements immediate opening of the station that never came true.

As the last chapter, the PSOE in the city of Murcia rejected a motion in September 27, 2007 in which once again requested the start of the work and justifying his refusal by referring to the start of it within a short period of time.

Nuria Fuentes insists that its opening will be necessary tasks of protection and prevention of Barrio del Carmen, "without forgetting that a police station is much more than police, are also administrative units which deal with the identity card or passport and a great improvement of devolution service to Murcia. "

The municipal charge of Traffic Safety and hopes that now, after opening an unlocked police station of El Carmen, is serious about building the Civil Guard barracks in Sangonera la Verde, a promise made to all residents of this hamlet in December 2005, and three years later is not only a reality but increasingly further from realization.

Also, in November last year the City gave a parcel to the Ministry of Interior for the construction of a Civil Guard barracks in Torreagüera.

Another outstanding issue that Fuentes hopes to see resolved soon.
