The University of Murcia, through the Center for Economic and Business Studies, headed by Professor Ramon Sabater, has signed an agreement with the Bar Association to facilitate collaboration between both institutions.
In addition to promoting projects and research lines, the agreement will facilitate the exchange of personnel between the two institutions and direct contact between members of the College and University researchers to contribute to defense lawyers.
Both Ramon Sabater, and Pedro Luis Sáez, dean of the Bar Association, stressed the importance of an agreement that affects the relationship between economics and law, words seconded to the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, who referred to the total line between the two governing entities.
At the signing ceremony held at the Convalescence, also attended by the Vice President for Innovation and convergence, Pilar Arnaiz, Vice Chancellor of Institutional Relations, Manuel Vidal, and teachers Sebastian de la Peña and Mercedes Navarro, who have played an important role in drafting the agreement.
Also signed another agreement by which the Regional Confederation of Organizations of Lorca (Ceclor) and the aforementioned Center for Economic Studies at the University collaborate on research projects, training activities and peer counseling.
CECLOR president, Pedro Cazorla, welcomed an agreement that will help "strengthen the ties between industry and university."
For its part, the president stressed the importance Cobacho that the University has in this agreement, which meets "the potential of the town of Lorca and the possibility of bringing the company to the University and vice versa."
