A great collector drains away with the floods in the north (24/03/2008)

Murcia City Council approved the project for the construction of two sections of a large storm water interceptor to stop flooding in the north.

This infrastructure will build on the great boulevard of Churra and end in the river, up to Beniscornia corner, with a total length of 6.8 kilometers.

The City Council has approved the first phase of interceptor drains in the area going north from the roundabout to be built at Juan Carlos I to the North Coast in the prop, to Avenida Juan Carlos I.

This work, which has two sections, has a total length of 600 meters.

This infrastructure will have capacity to absorb flow rates vary between 30 and 60 cubic meters per second, and drawers are constructed of reinforced concrete in a section of 5 feet wide by three high.

The project envisages the promenade Bending low Churra, located near the Mall Thader, Bending of the gully Payment Bishop of Depth (with a length of 3.9 kilometers) and the boardwalk Espinardo (with 355 meters).

In addition, the interceptor for rainwater collected rainwater from the Rambla de Espinardo and the university.

Enhancements Sangonera the Green and South Coast

In addition, the City Council has approved the proposed implementation of a section of interceptor storm which will pass through the Sangonera variant from the road MU-30 to the Reguerón, with a length of 1,190 meters.

It has also been given approval to draft the section of the collector works to clean up the South Coast ranging from Lane Villa (La Alberca) to Algezares road, with a length of 2,290 meters.

The South Coast collector will improve the supply system and sanitation in the districts of Sangonera la Seca, Sangonera la Verde, El Palmar, La Alberca, Santo Angelo, Algezares, Los Garres, San José de la Vega, and TorreagĂźera Beniaján.
