The City Council will promote and innovate in the holidays with a working group that will be created this month (05/02/2016)

Councilman Employment, Tourism and Culture, Jesus Pacheco, today announced that this month the Council of Festivities, with which it is intended to combine innovation with maintaining traditions in the various festivities that take place in will create the municipality.

Thus, in the council will include representatives of the Superior Council of Guilds, of the Federation of Peñas vegetable garden, the Sardine Association of hospitality associations, trade, and tourism experts, among others.

This initiative aims to strengthen and promote Murcia traditions, culture and customs, and to study the gradual incorporation of innovative measures that would enrich the celebrations of the municipality.

The government team wanted to create this consultative body in which all aspects are related to the main parades, festivals and various other events held in Murcia consensuen.

Also logistics and infrastructure, days of celebration and other activities of Spring Festival, Feria de Murcia, Christmas and other cultural events such as Easter, by organizing specific for each of the events will study tables.

The Governing Board today approved the expenditure of 964,334 euros, in addition to direct subsidies to various groups festive, to carry out the programs and activities of Holy Week, Spring Festival, Murcia Summer, Feria de Murcia Christmas.
