Music students from IES Beniaján offered yesterday a charity concert in aid of Syrian refugees in the auditorium of Sebastián Gálvez Arce, who recorded a full house audience.
In addition to the residents of the hamlet, who responded with their presence at the joint initiative of the school, also they attended the acting Mayor, José Ballesta, Councillor Maruja Pelegrin, the president of the municipal council, Francisco Hernandez, and the Director General Educational Planning and Human Resources of the Ministry of Education and Universities, Enrique Ujaldón.
The director of IES, Miguel Denia, teachers and families of students also wanted to miss the appointment.
The music teacher at IES, Elena Pertusa, was the driving force behind the show, wrote the script and direction of the work, entitled "For sing once more", which involved more than 50 students in courses ranging from ESO 2 and 2nd Bachelor, which stood the audience repeatedly with his performance.
The performance, besides being an activity of academic training and have had the collaboration of the AMPA, also had a solidarity aspect, since the revenue from the sale of capacity and revenue row zero will go to UNHCR cover costs for Syrian refugees.
The massive public response, which almost filled the 300 seats available -vendidas at a price of 3 euros, along with individual contributions and carried out by local companies, brought together about revenues of around 2,300 euros.
