Continue to collaborate in the development of scientific research in the field of water is the goal of the collaboration agreement signed this morning at the Catholic University of Murcia and the Mediterranean Water Institute Foundation.
The agreement was signed by José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, and Francisco Cabezas Calvo-Rubio, General Director of the Institute.
Through the research group of the educational institution research related to water resources will run.
The agreement includes three specific projects.
One related to the aquifer of Campo de Cartagena, which is an aquifer that is very much in touch with the Mar Menor for its groundwater flow modeling;
another to estimate the amount of water that is in the head of the river Segura, which is where most of the water resources of the basin are generated;
and a third it aimed at assessing the recharge for the whole Segura basin.
