The PSOE considers inadequate budgets for areas of Trade and International Relations and Employment, Tourism and Culture (14/12/2015)

The Socialists reiterated the need to reorient the budget to promoting local trade and invest in a real Cultural Plan that brings together all the attractions and potential of the municipality

Municipal councilors of the Socialist Group, Begoña García and Juan Vicente Larrosa Retegui, have lamented Monday that the budgets for the areas of Trade and Institutional Relations and Employment, Tourism and Culture, are "more of the same" and reflect the continuity in the policies of the city of Murcia and the lack of innovation and foresight.

Juan Vicente Larrosa has explained that there is little investment in supplies and no spaces investment in trade.

"The Government of Ballesta no commitment to local trade, and in the neighborhoods and districts local commerce is a major employer historically forgotten by the PP."

Moreover, the Socialist councilor regretted that has been cut from 285,000 euros to 155,000 euros in transfers, which represents a significant decrease in aid for trade.

"We must make a greater effort to reorient policies of the PP that in recent years have favored large surfaces to the detriment of small businesses. We must support local businesses either in the fairs and events and direct aids" Larrosa indicated.

"From the Municipal Socialist Group we are committed to small traders, with the self. In our amendment to the whole pledge one million euros to the work of the social economy and the self, which includes traders in the town" , he concluded Larrosa.

The culture, the most overlooked

For its part, the mayor Retegui Begoña García has reiterated the need to commit to a true Plan of Culture and Tourism that encompasses all the cultural and celebrations of the municipality offer, including the districts, "something that is not reflected in budgets Returning to forget culture in Murcia. "

"The budget presented Pacheco budgets are uneventful, giving continuity to the team that used to do Miguel Angel House, and forget to give back to our cultural heritage and the place they deserve," said the councilor PSOE.

Retegui Begoña García lamented that the government team for Crossbow "culture has been relegated to a minimum effort and investment fair to appear in the budget" and recalled that the alternative is to redirect investment towards this much needed Cultural Plan municipality.

Employment priority for the PSOE

Regarding employment, the Municipal Socialist Group considers that a municipality with almost 40,000 unemployed requires a Local Employment Pact, as approved in the municipal plenary last November through the motion of the PSOE.

"The motion of the Local Employment Pact aims to reach 2.5% of the total city budget for the promotion of employment in our town, either directly by the City or in collaboration with the various social and economic players," he explained Retegui Garcia, who recalled that in alternative budgets proposed by the Socialist Municipal Group, one million euros is envisaged to start over the road leading to the achievement of the 2.5% for Employment ".
