The Council organizes fifty free and varied activities to show the advantages of leaving the car parked (11/09/2015)

Murcia celebrates Mobility Week from 16 to 22 September under the slogan "Choose. Change. Combines. Your mobility" which gives prominence to public transport, cycling and walking.

The proposals will focus on participation, accessibility, sustainable mobility, road safety, "we took the streets" walking & health and Car Free Day.

Next to recreational proposals, workshops will be held and permanent measures are put in place.

The Mayor encourages Murcia to reconsider the benefits of intermodal transport to improve the quality of life because "choosing well can save money, improve our health and help the environment."

Murcia joins from next Wednesday to the European Mobility Week, with the slogan "Choose, Change, combines.

Your mobility "this year aims to involve citizens to reconsider the way we think our movements, encouraging people to opt for multi-modality and sustainable mobility.

More than 50 activities and in 7 days

Thursday have been organized related to "Accessibility and Integration" activities involving ASPANPAL, ASPAYM, FAMDIF and ONCE, circuits that perform mobility in wheelchairs or blind, among others.

"Mobility and Road Safety" is the theme of the proposals on Friday, including the Pro-Intermodal Gymkhana in which involves four teams of five town councilors, athletes, members of professional associations (industrial engineers, architects stands, doctors, lawyers and technical engineers) and journalists.

Saturday will be the day of "alternative mobility", to be held in the "Roller Parade Night" activities on two wheels: bikes, skates or scooters, and presented the Moon Bike, consisting of nights out on bicycle on full moon until year end.
