The University of Murcia has opened the call for the twentieth edition of the Novel Prize "Vargas Llosa", with a prize of 12,000 euros, the educational institution organized in collaboration with Caja Mediterráneo Foundation and the Chair Vargas Llosa.
This prize may attend all foreigners or Spanish authors send their works (one per author) within a period ending on 17 July.
The novels in competition, free and written in Spanish theme, must be original and not previously awarded.
Works must be submitted under pseudonym, accompanied escrow or closed, inside which shall include duly completed entry form, found in the call.
The texts should be sent to the Rector of the University of Murcia (Avenida Teniente Flomesta, 5, Building convalescence, 30003, Murcia).
The award came in 1995, when the University of Murcia invested doctor honoris causa to Mario Vargas Llosa, becoming the first Spanish university to distinguish the Peruvian writer with this appointment.
