Socio offer training to women victims of domestic violence to improve their quality of life and personal autonomy is the goal of the Women Avanza program, which involved 90 women and now ends with the presentation of diplomas.
This project is developed by Radio Ecca in collaboration with the city of Murcia, the Ministry of Health and Social Policy, the European Social Fund Murciano Institute of Social Action and Obra Social La Caixa.
Councilmember Equality Policy, Alicia Barquero, attended the closing ceremony of the course, along with the Director General of Social Policy, Verónica López;
and the Director General of Pensions, Assessment and Inclusion Programs, Miguel Angel Miranda.
The municipal team attention to violence against women (EMAVI) has led to this project 53 women.
The project is aimed at women between 16 and 64 who suffer or have suffered domestic violence and / or home at risk and / or socially excluded derived from social services to municipalities, autonomous region and offices of the Employment Service and Training ( SEFCARM).
Women receive a personalized itinerary of insertion social care, professional guidance, workshops, social skills and self-esteem workshops to prepare for job interviews, computer courses and internet;
and 220 hours training in the specialties socio intervention in health care institutions, intervention in food hygiene care institutions and 80 hours of practices in the workplace.
As a supplement, women with dependent children they are funding a babysitting service so that they can continue the program.
