The University of Murcia published a work of the pioneering sociologist of Social Work (23/12/2014)

The publisher of the University of Murcia (Editum) has published "Jane Addams Hull House twenty years" autobiographical book dye in which the author maintains a thoughtful dialogue with itself and is regarded as one of the foundational works of Labor Social.

Jane Addams, convinced feminist, Nobel Peace Prize in 1935, was the driving public social work as a profession and as a university discipline from community social experience of Hull House in Chicago.

The work has introductory study and comments retired professor from the University of Murcia Remedios Maurandi, which honored by this institution during the presentation of the volume, which was held in the Chamber of Letters with the presence of the rector, José Orihuela.

During the homage professional and Maurandi human figure, which was given the cover of the book signed by the designer, Joaquín García Chipola is glossed.

In addition, students and colleagues was honored with the screening of a video in which various testimonies collected professor, and delivering a compilation book of his phrases and images.

The event was attended, among others, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Work, María Paz García-Longoria, and the promoter of the tribute, the teacher also Francisca Moya.
