The Coastal North and South open to traffic next fall (15/12/2014)

Has already run almost half of this second phase, which has a budget of EUR 23.4 million for the construction of 8.1 kilometers of new roads.

Both roads will improve access to the city and connecting the districts and will serve about 113,000 people

Vehicles may circulate the new sections of the Coastal North and South in the fall of 2015, given the pace of construction work being carried out and where the level of implementation is close to 50%.

Mayor House and Director of Development, Public Works and Planning, Francisco Barnabas, today visited the works, which is one of the main activities in which they collaborate municipality and autonomous region.

The projects developed by Urbamusa, allow to have two major road that will improve access to the city and connecting with the districts, and once completed in all its phases, will serve over 113,000 people.

It is an initiative "important because -HA Camera- pointed directly resulting in improving the welfare of citizens".

Both roads have a total budget of 51 million euros, funded by the Autonomous Community and its completion will allow complete blood communications network of the municipality.

At the moment, is running the second phase, whose investment amounts to 23.4 million euros, of which 16.6 million correspond to the North Coast, where 6000 meters in length, and 6.7 million are built to the South Coast -2100 meters -.

Of the 10 sections currently under construction, three are part of the South Coast: the viaduct on the A30, connecting El Palmar-La Alberca (executed 54%) and the connection El Palmar-San Ginés (completed by 78%) and 7 to the North Coast, the most advanced is the link between the UCAM and Guadalupe (86% done).

Both are high-capacity road that will definitely draw traffic from the urban centers of 15 districts, including San Ginés and Algezares -11.3 kilometers in length, and from Javalí Old El Esparragal -13.3 miles-thus improving the quality of life of its 113,000 inhabitants, decongesting the existing roads and traffic will move through the hamlets possible without going inside that, in most cases, is the main street, ie the center of town.

Progress and modernity

The completion of the Coastal North and South is the culmination of a plan to improve road communications developed in the town in recent years.

Each new kilometer joins the urban road network is a sign of progress, modernity and improving the quality of life of citizens.

The effort can now be accessible from north to south and from east to west of town without passing through the center, which directly affects obvious improvements for accessibility and mobility.
