A book of poems by Romanian writer Ana Blandiana, fighting against Ceausescu's dictatorship is presented (10/12/2014)

Tomorrow Thursday, December 11, will be the launch of "My Motherland A4" by Ana Blandiana, translated by Antonio Colinas and Viorica Patea, presented in Romanian / Castilian bilingual edition.

It is in the Aula Jorge Guillén, Faculty of Letters, 19.30 hours.

Speakers Viorica Patea, Natalia Carbajosa, writer, translator and professor at the UPCT, and Isabelle G. Molina, Director of Poetry Classroom.

Ana Blandiana (Romania, 1942), is one of the most important figures of Romanian literature.

Featured opposition to the regime of Ceausescu, is the author of fourteen books of poetry, two volumes of fantastic stories, nine of essays and a novel.

It is the most international Romanian poet of the time, as evidenced by the fact that it has been nominated for the Nobel Prize.

In 2009, Blandiana was awarded the highest distinction of the French Republic, the Légion d'Honneur for his contribution to European culture and its struggle against injustice.
