A large Christmas tree pendant will look this afternoon between Santo Domingo and Tatters (05/12/2014)

The Department of Environment, who runs Adela Martinez-Cache, wanted to bring tourism and environmental attraction to the Christmas decoration that looks Murcia today in all the streets, squares and avenues of the municipality of Murcia.

In a corner of Murcia, where Santo Domingo begins or ends Tatters there is a tree, a big Christmas tree.

It is cone-shaped, green, and has balls.

The tree is there and yet not see;

hidden, but we sense because they are their ornaments, suspended, weightless, colorful.

55 hollow spheres are expanded polystyrene painted green and red and suspended each of a nylon cord tied to a network of steel cables.

There are three different sizes: 75, 40 and 30 cm in diameter, positioned randomly mock forming a hollow inside the cone.

The shaft has a diameter of eight six meters tall.

The siting of the tree have started this morning at 8:00 am and will be completely finished this afternoon after 17 hours.

Moreover, the Department of Environment has also responded to the request for merchants downtown, installed two firs seven meters high at the Plaza José Estevez Mora and Roque López Sculptor.
