The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has given the green light this morning to the collaboration between the Department of Employment, Trade and Enterprise, led by José María Tortosa, and Columbares Association for the development of intercultural community intervention project in the neighborhood Los Rosales of El Palmar.
This program includes a series of actions to improve the situation globally neighborhood in cohabitation, education, health, training, employment, leisure and the environment;
paying particular attention to the most socially vulnerable: women, youth and children.
In addition, a series of activities designed to facilitate relationships between different cultures and identities that coexist in the neighborhood, fostering collaboration and improving living and quality of life are proposed.
Finally, measures are proposed to improve the image of the neighborhood both its own residents and the rest of the inhabitants of the municipality.
The activities proposed are:
- Group workshops as pre-employment stage of immigrant women.
With these workshops is to build self-confidence and self-knowledge of the female participants.
- Training and intercultural mediation on maternal and child health.
- Training and employment for young people.
- Cultural and creative workshops for young people.
- Sports for inclusion and coexistence.
- Intercultural mediation in schools
- Environmental education and improving the urban environment
- Intercultural Community Revitalization.
- Forum for coexistence in Los Rosales.
- Campaign awareness and communication to create a positive image in the neighborhood of Los Rosales.
