Sorrows and joys of love, tomorrow the Romea Theatre (06/10/2014)

Joys and sorrows of love is a tribute to the popular poetry, song and flamenco, three fundamental manifestations of our culture that are part of the collective memory and emotional education of many Spaniards.

Love, with its lights and shadows, its various forms and circumstances, is the main theme of this show, singing the great poets of popular root, as Manuel Machado, Rafael de Leon and Manuel Carrasco Benitez, among others, or couplets unforgettable as "the good pays" or "alms of love, and essential flamenco styles and shocking as the solea, siguiriya, taranto or granaína.

In the manner of the ancient Greek bards, of Provencal troubadours or our singers, we wanted to join in poetic fraternity recitation, singing and music, fusing in this case the excited words and flamenco lament with the raw and refrain flamenco guitar.

Joys and sorrows of love is also a vindication of Spanish popular culture, which has created unique and universal art forms, and all those artists, famous and unknown, who have helped with honorable effort and talent, experience and knowledge with your content and your grief.
