The energy consumed in street lighting has decreased by 28.97% over five years (25/08/2014)

A municipality more efficient energy-saving and better lit.

This is the objective of the Department of Urban Quality from the implementation of a plan to improve public lighting in the streets of the town.

To this end, since 2008 the City is performing different actions, both in lighting, and municipal buildings, which account for less economic cost and energy efficiency

This has ensured that, in just five years, energy consumption in public lighting has decreased by 28.97%.

The cost-saving measures in street lighting:

o Installation of astronomical clocks with a reduction in daily time on half an hour.

Advance or the application of reduced flow fixtures from 12 midnight on power.

o Implementation of LED type lights instead of traditional lamp download the new facilities.

The type LED luminaires have a consumption about 50% less than traditional.
