The need for more effective punitive measures and increased international cooperation in the fight against fraud in the art work has been highlighted in the doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Law of the University of Murcia by Maria Angeles Casabó .
This research, which has been rated as outstanding cum laude, discusses the art market and the concept of artistic work, comparative law in the prosecution of crimes of fraud and legally protected.
Similarly, Casabó deals with auction houses and responsibility of the people who may be involved in the commission of these offenses, not to mention the figure of the persons or entities who are victims of the same.
The dissertation was directed by Professor of the University of Murcia Jaime Peris and the University of Valencia Amadeo Serra.
The court responsible for judging was chaired by Professor José Antonio Cobacho civil law, who was rector of the University of Murcia until a few days ago.
