Better communications

The Coastal North and South are high capacity roads with landscaped median and bike lanes, which are designed to absorb 80,000 vehicles a day.

The projects of these roads have the following characteristics:

- Structuring Vials: Central Trunk three lanes in each direction.

In the sections of the split of Highway A-4 (Section II-CN-12) and the connection between Nora and the North Coast in Guadalupe (Sections II-CN-3 and CN-II-4), the connection is available two lanes in each direction, and the connecting sections between El Palmar and San Ginés (Section II-CS-1-3) and the stretch of road replacement RM B-3 (included in Section II-CN- 4), have one lane in each direction.

- Accessibility: Meets both pedestrian parameters fords, as the width of sidewalks, horizontal and vertical signs, and the traffic lights.

- Environment: In circular roundabouts LED lighting an increase in energy efficiency, in addition to an increase in road safety.

Bike path is included in all sections.

- Road safety: Barrier protection barrier rail vehicles and motorists in the necessary sections and wooden fences to protect pedestrians and cyclists.

- Access: all existing paths to new paths-either directly or by way of service-to leave no isolated area was incorporated.

Intersections have remained raised in the General Plan to meet present and future.

- Gardening: Artificial turf, mulberry and native species at roundabouts.

Road running

The agreement improved road communications between the municipality and the Ministry of Public Works has already allowed the opening of the Green Alternative Sangonera-in operation since April 2009 - with a total length of 3.9 km, the route runs from its link with the MU-30 freeway to the RM-603 road at the exit of the village.

That same year also opened for service on first section of the North Coast, which cross links the Avenida Juan de Borbón with Juan Carlos I (at the height of the substation Espinardo) along a length of 1.55 kilometers .

This road will have a total length of 12.06 km and will link with Javalí head of Torres Viejo, on the border with Sewell.

And from January 2010 is in the service section of the South Coast, which have a total length of 11.3 km, running from La Alberca Auditorium and Santa Catalina Highway and two years later opened to traffic road between this point and Algezares.

Since 2009 the North Coast is open for service on first section, which connects the transversely Avenida Juan de Borbón with Juan Carlos I (at the height of the substation Espinardo) along a length of 1.55 kilometers.

The nearly EUR 25.6 million in the budget has been the completion of the North Coast and South in addition to the 39.6 million already invested in the first phase of both vials and Alternative Sangonera La Verde, built and open to traffic in the previous legislature, funded under the agreement with the Autonomous Community.

The implementation of this ambitious plan to improve road infrastructure has had two immediate consequences: first, the construction of the ring road has made this may not be necessary, as was hitherto-cross the town of Murcia for displacements north to south or east to west, or vice versa, on the other, the opening of the first sections of the North Coast and South Sangonera Alternative and Green Avenue Beniaján has resulted in a substantial improvement in communications between districts .
