IU-Greens criticized the City Council makes use of an outside company to remodel the garden of cactus (20/12/2013)

The municipal group of IU-Greens in Murcia today criticized the City Council spends 28,182 euro pay a company to remodel the garden of cactus instead of assigning this task to STV, the dealership service garden maintenance.

According Tornel, the council could save that money because most of the work, as is the removal of material elements and plants, or new plantings and ground covers can be assumed by STV within the municipal contracts.

As for the actions on the irrigation, civil work or cleaning pavements, the mayor has indicated that could be executed by other municipal services covering such work, would require coordination of resources between the departments only.

"We can not understand how the City, due to the lack of economic resources which suffer, assign some tasks that can be perfectly assumed by the municipal hires another outside firm, with consequent expense that entails," he concluded.
