The operation has been developed as a result of complaints from car park users by coercion, insults and intimidation
The police operation is settled with 15 people arrested and 67 identified
Agents of the National Police have arrested 15 foreign nationals who were illegally in Spain, serving as valet parking areas in seven districts of San Andres and El Carmen in the city of Murcia.
These arrests were carried out in the framework of the various devices crime prevention that Police Headquarters has developed in the city of Murcia.
After receiving numerous complaints from citizens who feel threatened and coerced when they leave their vehicles parked in certain areas of the city, on December 4th day operational inspection of seven of these car parks scattered throughout the city began.
In this operation, 82 people were identified, fifteen of which, in a situation of illegal residence, were arrested for breach of the Aliens Act.
All identified exercised begging asking users of the parking money for taking care of the vehicles.
According to many of the citizens who have denounced this situation, in some occasions, when they do not get requested or required bribe, coerce or insult drivers or cause damage to vehicles.
Detainees are of various nationalities (Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, Uganda, Mali and Ivory Coast).
All of them are charged with an offense under the Immigration Act.
The operation was carried out by agents of the Provincial Brigade Aliens and Borders Police and the National Police of the districts of El Carmen and San Andrés.
