Traders in the market square of Saavedra Fajardo, with the cooperation of the City of Murcia, have launched a competition for tortillas, in which all persons who wish may participate.
Registration will be conducted on Saturday, December 7, from 11.00 to 12.30.
Participants will need to bring your omelet, you must have basic ingredients like eggs and potatoes, and can add any ingredient you see fit.
The jury consists of restoration professionals like Sergio Gallego, Sergio Martinez (Kekis Tapería), Estrella Carrillo (Restaurante Santa Ana), David (La Alborada), Juan Antonio Pellicer (Hospitality Fleet School) and Alberto (Center for Tourism Qualification ).
They appreciate the taste, presentation and originality of the tortilla.
The first prize is $ 300, second prize is $ 100 and the third 50 euros in vouchers to buy in the food market.
After the awards ceremony, attendees can enjoy a paella.
Moreover, traders in the square and show product ideas for Christmas dishes like seafood stew, cheese platters and plates with flat Murcia.
This initiative aims to attract more visitors to the squares of supplies because of holiday shopping and traditional commerce enabled.
