Murcia joins the Strategy Entrepreneurship and Youth Employment of the Government of Spain (02/12/2013)

The Minister of Employment and Social Security has given the Mayor the stamp that certifies to the City as an entity attached to this initiative, which aims to facilitate access to the labor market for young people.

Then House has received the award from Ucomur for being the first municipality in the region and one of the first in Spain in cooperative employment creation.

Murcia is part of all institutions and companies in the country adhered to the strategy of Entrepreneurship and Youth Employment 2013-2016, designed by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security.

Minister Fatima Banez, has delivered this afternoon to the Mayor, Miguel Angel House, Seal certifying the City of Murcia as an entity attached to this initiative, whose primary objective is to help facilitate access to the labor market for young people.

The event, held at the Plenary Hall of the City, has been attended by representatives of business and social organizations of the town.

Chamber thanked the Minister to grant this distinction and reaffirms the Council's commitment to continue "joining forces and supporting this driven by the Government of Spain on behalf of the company, employment strategy and progress."

The Mayor pointed out that Murcia has always been a "land of entrepreneurs", hence the interest of the City to implement measures to support SMEs, employment policies continue to promote and support entrepreneurship and austerity in public spending .

The accession of Murcia and Youth Entrepreneurship Strategy Jobs materializes around five specific measures in place, developed by the City through the "Murcia uses" initiative:

1.

Mixed employment and training programs, aimed at the employment of unemployed persons with professional qualifications in alternation with the actual work.

In addition to training, participants receive guidance and advice to enable them to both the search for paid employment to establish their own.

Two.

Promoting entrepreneurship and personal attention to entrepreneurs, through two specific lines of action: first, providing briefings IES and districts, on the other hand, offering personalized attention, analyzing business ideas for entrepreneurs, reconduciéndolas or supporting their development and further development.

Three.

Murcia Sign Company for the attention of companies, especially in promoting the practices of vocational training for employment imparting the City, complementing the theoretical and practical training received.

Through "Murcia uses", the City has treated 20,000 users and has provided 19,200 hours of training in the last year within the Initial Vocational Training programs, occupational training, school workshop and Employment Workshop.

It is of theoretical and practical courses that enable the students to join the workforce profiles as hospitality and tourism, electrical, carpentry, vehicle maintenance, etc..

The various programs managed directly by the City target unemployed and entrepreneurs and well channeled through counseling, and job information, such as plans qualified training for young and old, municipal projects with European funding or support lines established for entrepreneurs and businesses.

Moreover, the work of the City Council in support of cooperatives and the social economy has been recognized by the granting of Ucomur with one of its annual awards.

The award was accepted by the Mayor this afternoon, in the ceremony held at the Teatro Romea occasion of World Day of Cooperatives.

In appreciation for the award, Miguel Angel House has indicated that Murcia is the first municipality in the region and one of the first in Spain in cooperative employment creation "something that makes us proud and encourages us to continue working hand Ucomur" , with whom the City maintains a steady line collaboration for more than 15 years ago to develop new business ventures.

One area in which is reflected the close cooperation between the Union of Cooperatives and Local Government has been in the creation of a network of reconciling work and family life, either by formula or the rights demaniales assignment of the leasehold, built right now in 9 centers with the capacity to serve more than a thousand children a day.

Of these 150 ideas, 37 saw the light and became new companies that joined our production.
