The Scientia blog, Professor José Manuel López Nicolás, earned the RTVE Blog Award in the category of best popular science blog in Spanish-speaking in 2013.

Nicolás López, professor at the Faculty of Biology, University of Murcia, received the award last Friday at a gala held at the Lit House Madrid.

In this year, the awards, which since its creation in 2003 have become a benchmark in the blogger world, marked a record 26,406 nominees to participate in blogs and 258,140 votes cast by the public.

In the final phase of the awards, which agreed Scientia by popular vote, a jury of 11 renowned bloggers, journalists and media professionals López Nicolás elected as the Best Science Blog of the Year.
