Councillor for Sport, Youth and Tourism, Miguel Cascales, has been awarded the Tourism Dove XLIV.
An award given by the School of Tourism at the University of Murcia to the people and institutions who have excelled in the field of tourism.
They have also been awarded the National Parador Lorca Castle and the town of Molina de Segura.
The ceremony took place this evening at the Casino de Murcia.
Those responsible for the School of Tourism have highlighted the hard work of Cascales, which is Councillor of the City of Murcia since 1995, and directs tourism since 2011 - to promote the brand 'Murcia' outside our borders and the strong commitment of the Department for tourism.
Among its major projects include the implementation of Murcia Tourism Promotion Plan 365, a program that assists the School of Tourism at the University of Murcia and the UCAM, which involves taking action to attract tourists to Murcia, 365 days a year.
They have also highlighted the campaign to attract foreign tourists, promote coastal provinces bordering Murcia, boosting Tourist Card, firm commitment to the Tourism Congress, opening new Tourist Information Points at various strategic locations in the city, enhance Murcia's presence online and in social networks, creating an application for Smartphones Murcia Tourism, tourist signs renewal of the main monuments of the municipality and the Tourism Fairs presence with its own stand, as in the case of Fitur 2013 -.
