26 NGOs Murcia show solidarity work they do in the poorest countries (26/09/2013)

More than twenty NGOs involved in township Cooperating Fair that was inaugurated today at the Plaza de Santo Domingo by the Mayor, Miguel Angel House, accompanied by Councilwoman Alicia Barquero, Policy Equality and Development Cooperation and director of the Foundation CajaMurcia, Pascual Martinez.

and will be open until Sunday.

The 26 associations show their work in the most disadvantaged countries and have planned activities for the whole population, the hours of 12-14 hours and 18-21 hours, until next Sunday.

The NGOs present at the fair are: Association of Friends of the Saharawi people, Makua Association, Holidays in Peace Association, Blue in Action, Action Fire, Caritas de Murcia, UNESCO Centre of Murcia, Murcia Solidarity Surgery, Vincentian for Development Cooperation, Spanish Red Cross, Development and Education Assistance Foundation (FADE), Foundation CEPAIM Diagram Intervention Foundation, Humanism and Democracy Foundation, Foundation Intered, Mainel Foundation Vicente Ferrer Foundation, Engineers Without Borders, Community Development Institute, Intermon Oxfam Solidarity Karit the Peace, Manos Unidas, Master Mundi Welcomes Murcia, Project Africa Friends Mali and service and outreach activities.

The projects we work the township ONG'D cooperating cover essential needs for the population of the least advantaged in the health, educational, productive, social services, governance and fundamentally humanitarian.

Providing health care in doctors' offices, building schools, promoting productive through the creation of small communities, cooperatives or micro-projects also support municipalities.

This closing activity Cooperating Week, which has been held since Monday with talks, exhibitions and documentary films.

The aim of these activities, organized by the Department of Equality Policy and Development Cooperation in collaboration with NGOs in the municipality, is raising public awareness of the need to help the poorest countries and at the same time raising awareness of the work of volunteers.

The Cooperation Day, which was observed on September 8, recognizes the work of more than 1,400 Spanish working in the most disadvantaged areas of the earth.

Match the Millennium Declaration of the United Nations where 189 Heads of State pledged to meet the Millennium Development Goals.
