The Socialist Party claimed public transport and sustainable mobility for the Day Without Cars (21/09/2013)

The Socialist Municipal spokesperson, Pedro Lopez, pointing to celebrate Car Free Day morning that "Murcia deserves another model of public transport, able to unite people and serve the citizens and not alienate territories as with the current system caused by the bad management of the PP ".

Socialist spokesman reiterates that progress towards a sustainable city that respects the environment, it is vital to good public transport and a network of park and ride located at strategic locations also connected bike lanes which allow the pedestrian bet, winning spaces for citizens and promoting economic activity.

"What we suffer now all citizens, are rather antimovilidad policies" complains Lopez.

For PSOE councilor, "Murcia meets unbeatable characteristics for modern mobility policies similar to those that have launched major European cities and certainly lead to a better quality of life for residents."

Lopez said that in recent years "PP municipal government has made the Car Free Day is erased calendar slowly filling Mobility Week with activities and workshops that are far from providing real alternatives to move towards a Murcia more sustainable and respectful of the environment than we deserve. "
