FADE Volunteers Foundation (Foundation Help, Development and Education) accompanying perform tasks in greater San Basilio residence thanks to a collaboration agreement signed with the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS) attached to the Ministry of Health and Policy Social Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
The objective of this agreement involves establishing a collaborative framework for the development of 'Secunda Program, voluntary work in Residential Care Homes San Basilio' for the attention of people, elderly, sick or dependent users residing in the center as well as their families and caregivers, in order to provide support tools that help them overcome positive and enriching life experience that involves entry into a residence for the elderly.
Thus, by virtue of this agreement, FADE volunteers conducted various activities in this site such as:
Provide additional assistance to the San Basilio nursing homes through its residents support: companionship, reading, walks, help with activities of daily living, etc..
Accompaniment made this center users in those periods when hospitalization is necessary Morales Meseguer Hospital, as well as provide support-emotional, physical materials or caregivers who are caring for them at that stage.
In this sense, and has remained the first working meeting to set the main priorities in the face of this course, an event that has been attended by Enrique Perez Abellan, Director of IMAS and technical team members FADE and the Residence San Basilio.
FADE Foundation develops various voluntary activities in the field of social care in the Region of Murcia, with special attention to groups of elderly, disabled, chronically mentally ill, and people with chronic and degenerative diseases.
In the last year, thanks to the continued support of 250 volunteers, more than 1,500 people have benefited directly from this joint initiative.
