312 local police officers involved in the special safety device on the occasion of the pilgrimage (15/09/2013)

312 Local Police, the total effective Fire, 64 Civil Defence volunteers and Red Cross members participate in a special device that starts tomorrow on the occasion of the pilgrimage of the Virgin of Fuensanta.

Until today the police conduct a proper surveillance service to meet any need.

From the early hours of the morning, September 16, 312 agents will work in the special device of the Pilgrimage.

On the 16th, in the early hours of the morning will establish a safety device for total control of the area, cutting off access traffic when the situation demands.

It will for these services with sufficient human and material resources, which are the following:

- 84 Policemen.

- 16 police cars.

- 1 crane.

- Transmission equipment.

Also featured will be the Fire Service, Environmental and Civil Protection Agents.

On the 17th day of the pilgrimage, the Local Police Service will be provided for:

- Escort Fuensanta Virgin processional.

- Control and monitoring traffic in the city.

- Traffic control and surveillance in the area of ​​the Sanctuary and access, which will be protected in accordance with the attached information note.

This will provide for:

- 208 Police

- 26 Radio patrols.

- 32 Motorcycles.

- Three cranes.

- Transmission equipment necessary.

- Next to the Shrine of Fuensanta be installed, since the early hours of 17 September a Mobile Office of Citizen of the local police in Murcia.

The FIRE SERVICE unit located between the sanctuary and the Theatines, opposite the old seminary and another in the Shrine.

This retainer will be provided a sanctuary from 08.00 hours to 20.00 hours, comprising 12 people displaced in 2 vehicles, as outlined below:

-A first supplied with heavy vehicle urban pumper (BUP) made by a corporal (control), four firemen and a driver.

It will be located in the area of ​​the Shrine, along with other emergency equipment (Ambulance, Civil and Local Police).

-A second pumper supplied with heavy forestry vehicle (BFP) consisting of a rope (control), four firemen and a driver.

It will be located on the left bank of the climb that goes from the Sanctuary to the junction of the Theatines-La Luz (opposite the old Seminary).

The traditional pilgrimage attracts many people around the Shrine of Our Lady of Fuensanta, located in the wildland Valley Nature Park.

This situation, coupled with the high temperatures characteristic of the September wildfires can cause potentially dangerous by the number of people that are in the vicinity of the shrine.

RED CROSS will be installed in the Shrine and at the junction of Valley Road to the climb to the Theatines.

CIVIL PROTECTION mount a service from 6 to 20 hours, with 64 volunteers, two hospitals (one at the junction of the Labrador-farm la Cierva), an Advanced Command Post, an ambulance, a Rapid Intervention Vehicle and 6 vehicles.

The RESCUE SERVICE, will be located next to Fire, at the point opposite the old Seminary, and will consist of 8 people.

BUS SERVICE, the day of the pilgrimage will have their stop in Murcia, Alameda de Colon and ALGEZARES, at the point called ALGEZARES schools, from which they will return once the Virgin has started up to the Sanctuary.

Stalls:

As for the installation of street vendors, whose permissions are granted by the Department of Markets, Consumption and Decentralization, will in any case where they will not interfere with the free movement of people and emergency vehicles, ie out of the driveway and crossing sites, and always under the supervision and directions of the local police.

In any case, do not authorize the installation of posts lacking the appropriate license sales.
