The City grants more than 2.5 million euros so far this year to households and non-profit associations (13/09/2013)

The development of actions to help facilitate social inclusion and help people and the poorest families of the municipality has been a key objective of the Department of Social Welfare and Health, directed by María del Carmen Pelegrin.

A sample of this goal is the help that is offered to the different associations and groups in the municipality of Murcia, through the signing of cooperation agreements and / or grants for the development of their activities.

The aid granted by the Department directed by María del Carmen Pelegrin from the beginning of the year 2013 amounted to a total amount of 2,554,000 used by more than twenty groups and associations of various kinds.

In terms of Social Services, in so far this year, the Department has approved 13 grants registered for many other social organizations nonprofit, for the development of various activities in the fields in which they have jurisdiction municipal social services.

The action plan in this regard is very broad, covering all sections of people in need (help to schooling, social background, emergency assistance agreements with associations, etc..), Reaching a total amount of 2,419,000 euros since January 2013.

As for the agreements signed since the beginning of the year, the amount in this regard asiciende to 544,000 euros.
