HUERMUR asks the city of Murcia information about modifying the layout of the road at the end of the Malecon Nora (13/09/2013)

The company's Generala running road works of La Nora at the end of the Malecon promenade, building a rail round Torre Molina and turning a stretch of the old road to La Nora on a one-way road.

HUERMUR not aware of the publication in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia's forced PGMO modification process, necessary to execute the works that are being developed.

Furthermore, these works are being carried out without having passed the Landscape Protection Special Plan Paseo del Malecón, thus facilitating the construction of new developments of great landscape impact that will kill the uniqueness of the setting of the monument.

HUERMUR has asked the city of Murcia information about the company works The General is doing in the road to La Nora at the end of the Malecon promenade.

These works are the result of a future development with buildings of up to five plants and other development of terraced houses at the edge of the road that have already completed them.

It is building a rail round Torre Molina, a new section of the road from La Nora and transformation of old stretch on a one-way road.

This transformation is not covered by the PGMO, and it seems that its purpose is to facilitate entry into a neighborhood of newly built townhouses where not made the required setback for the maintenance of the sidewalk.

Furthermore, along with these properties is scheduled the urbanization of a large bag of garden soil to which access will be facilitating their development.

HUERMUR fears that these works, with the excuse of improving the current traffic licenses accompanied by new urban developments that further degrade the environment Malecon promenade Orchard, so that the historic promenade declared a Cultural ends become a boulevard surrounded by buildings and townhouses, thus losing the traditional landscape that characterized him and ceasing to be an entrance to the garden of Murcia.

HUERMUR has asked the City Council and the Ministry of Culture not be permitted to license or new works until they are approved protection environment Malecon promenade and Landscape Protection Special Plan, as required by the Heritage Act Murcia and PGMO.
