DSpace, Institutional Digital Repository at the University of Murcia, has been ranked as the eighth Spanish repository in the July edition of the Ranking Web of World Repositories, which measures the visibility and impact of scientific repositories.

In the world ranking of 1,650 analyzed repositories, DSpace occupies position 107 in July, up 10 places compared to January 2013.

In the ranking of the "top institutional" is number 104 of 1,564 repositories included.

As far as Europe is ranked 52, with an increase over the last edition of five positions.

DSpace provides free access to electronic scientific publications and other academic materials.
