September Hotel prices rise an average of 3% in Spain (10/09/2013)

A study reveals that hotel prices in Spain generally increase with an average of 3%.

The price trend is on the rise in different regions of Spain for the month of September is the Community of Madrid that has increased with 30% and Cantabria that has fallen to 28%.

In the same vein, La Rioja is 25% more expensive to sleep that last month, like Catalonia to be more expensive by 18% in September, compared with 12% of Castilla la Mancha and Navarra.

A low, Balearic reduce their prices after the summer by 23% on average, followed by Murcia which is 20% cheaper than in August, 18% Asturias and Galicia and Valencia 14% and 12% respectively.

Barcelona the most expensive, Lugo and the cheapest Murcia

As hotel prices for cities, the most expensive are still Barcelona, ​​San Sebastian and Palma de Mallorca with an average price of 174 euros, 163 euros and 142 euros respectively.

They are followed Cadiz with an average of 113 euros and 103 euros Santander, just below the Spanish average amounting to 104 euros for the current September.

Starting at the tail, Lugo and Murcia are the cheapest cities to sleep this month with an average price of 52 euros, followed by Castellón where overnight costs an average of 55 euros, Lleida and Huesca with an average price per night for double room 58 euros.

Average prices in Corunna and Badajoz are one euro over the latter while Zaragoza and Santa Cruz de Tenerife rub the 60 euros on average per night.

General price rise in Europe

The national trend September prices extends throughout Europe and is increasing most European destinations, including Spain which is the least expensive prices.

Among the most up stands Belgium with a rise of 31%, followed by the Netherlands, France and Germany, which become more expensive by 23% on average.

Leading the price decline are coastal destinations such as Greece, which average 21% less than last month, compared to 17% in Bulgaria and 12% in Cyprus.
