The Guardia Civil Murcia has developed an investigation into drug trafficking that has resulted in the dismantling of an underground greenhouse dedicated to growing marijuana in Sangonera la Seca-Murcia.
As part of the proceedings has been arrested on suspicion of a crime against public health (drug trafficking), the person responsible for planting, which was enabled in a cell in the basement of a home.
Have also been arrested and 160 marijuana plants were seized sophisticated ventilation devices, irrigation, lighting and heating.
The action is framed within the Civil Guard services being done in the region for the prevention and prosecution of drug trafficking by detecting production and distribution points.
The officers began the investigation upon learning that, in a building located on the outskirts of the town of Sangonera la Seca-Murcia, could be developing certain illegal activities related to drug trafficking.
After fully identify the owner, and once obtained all necessary evidence, the Guardia Civil conducted a house search in the house, where the greenhouse was dismantled clandestine marijuana cultivation, proceeding to the arrest of the person who ran.
An underground hideout to grow marijuana
The greenhouse was installed underground in the basement of the house.
Access to the cabin, about 20 m2, was hidden in a small hatch to avoid being detected easily.
It had installed sophisticated technological devices in order to achieve an ideal environment for growing marijuana, with elements of lighting, heating, ventilation and automated irrigation.

- Spanish, 35 year-old resident of Sewell.

The agents seized 160 marijuana plants (cannabis sativa) in the process of production.
Effects seized:
In addition, they have seized all devices themselves to the cultivation of marijuana, as elements of heat, ventilation, irrigation and lighting.
The arrested, drugs seized, the effects seized and proceedings initiated have been brought before the magistrate on duty of Murcia.
