Health imparts a new training course for volunteer monitors group 4/40 (26/02/2013)

To encourage and promote moderate physical activity on a regular, Murcia City Hall, through the Department of Social Welfare and Health, directed María del Carmen Pelegrin, is running the program 4/40, from which it is proposed the formation of groups of adults who are called to walk briskly, four days a week, for 40 minutes each time, designed routes in the environment near you.

In the municipality of Murcia are currently operating 12 groups 4/40 for the Promotion of Physical Activity with a total of 960 people registered.

During the months of February and March develops III Course for volunteer monitors group 4/40, over three sessions of theory and practice in facilitating the training and equipment necessary for the continuity of the groups 4/40 in which the people enrolled in the course are participating.

This activity is aimed at those groups having participated in 4/40 assets, with professional instructor, have expressed their willingness to lead the group, once the figure of the professional monitor cease, to move to another area.

In the course have enrolled 18 people from 8 of the 12 groups in operation

The presentation of the course will take place this evening at 17 pm and will be held the theory session.

Walking: model of moderate intensity physical activity.

Simple methods to assess physical fitness.

Recommended: postural hygiene, clothing and footwear, food, hydration.

Warming and recovery

On March 12 there will be the practical session.

Activity planning.

Security in the organization, elements to consider.

Parts of a session: warm-up, cool-Making a start.

Recovery exercises.

On Thursday, March 21 will be held the presentation of the program to promote physical activity.

Groups 4/40.

There will be a round table group 4/40 in practice, and decommissioning.

The course will be held at the Museum of Science and Water, 17 to 19 hours.
