The Department of Political Equality and Development Cooperation, headed Alicia Barquero, and Centers for Women and women's associations in the municipality have developed a full program of activities to mark the International Women's Day, celebrated on 8 March.
The activities are aimed at training and awareness of society's commitment to gender equality.
This year's theme is 'equality in diversity' and have organized conferences, performances, exhibitions and seminars, among other things.
Scheduled activities are aimed at all citizens, involving children, young people, older people, people with disabilities, women and men.
Moreover, this time as a new cultural activities are planned in order to make stars of the artistic and cultural women themselves, showing the contributions of women to our society through the history, culture, science, solidarity and fellowship.
Proposals will be developed for one month, from 27 February to 22 March, both in the city and districts.

Women with Value Added Conference, organized by Assoc Thader Fayrén Albina, at the Cultural Center Las Claras (Murcia).
