The intent of the City is that all citizens can still enjoy a barrier-free Murcia and it has the support of FAMDIF.

Its president, Carmen Gil, held this morning a meeting with the Mayor, Miguel Angel House, which was also attended by the Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrin.

The meeting, which has lasted for nearly an hour, has served to review the actions taken result of the commitment of cooperation between the two entities.

Much of this work is carried out by the Office of the City Accessibility which formed in 2011 at the initiative of the Mayor, and where present, among other groups, the Federation of Associations of Disabled Persons Murcia Physical and Organic -FAMDIF-Cocemfe.

Its primary objective is to ensure that all construction projects of reform in public and otherwise meet basic parameters so that any person, with or without disabilities, find a city without barriers or obstacles.

In addition, the Mayor has shown the willingness of the City to seek land available to expand the Day Center "Juan Cerezo" Youth with Physical dependents Ruipérez located in Track and unique in the region, which serves 15 people aged between 16 and 40 years.

In addition to physical therapy and occupational therapy, users participate in workshops in computer science, English, web page creation, photoshop, theater.
